rules for freelance hospitality marketing consultants

Freelance marketing consultants are a valued part of the hospitality marketing ecosystem, and many Team Marketing members work this way across a range of brands.

This community recognises that freelancers often sit somewhere between in-house operators and agencies, working closely with hospitality businesses while also supporting multiple clients and projects.

Freelancers are welcome to:

  • Ask questions and join discussions

  • Share insight and experience from across the brands you work with

  • Sense-check ideas and challenges

  • Network with other hospitality marketers

Because freelancers often work across several businesses, we ask that you keep the spirit of the group in mind.

Team Marketing is not intended as a lead generation space.

Freelancers should avoid:

  • Actively promoting services unless invited to do so in relevant sub groups

  • Pitching for work within discussions

  • Posting availability or self-promotional content in irrelevant sub groups

If you would like to:

  • Share an event you are hosting

  • Promote a workshop or training

  • Launch a tool, course or product

  • Share something commercial in nature

Please check with Community Admin first.

This simply helps ensure the group remains balanced, useful and focused on genuine peer-to-peer discussion.

Freelancers play an important role in the hospitality marketing world, and your experience across multiple brands can be hugely valuable to the community when shared in that spirit.
